Swimming With the Ancestors (an Homage}, 2021

May 5 - June 27, 2021
The Vault
Victoria Arts Council, 1800 Store Street,
Victoria BC Canada

An installation comprising seven banners on bamboo rods and a school of salmon.
The banners and the salmon are made with Japanese and other papers, as well
as other materials such as Czechoslovakian glass beads.

The Victoria Arts Council gallery and office is located in a building which many years ago was a bank, and its vault remains, providing an interesting space
for art installations throughout the year. The Vault is six feet wide, eight feet deep and eight feet high.

Banners #1 - 3 and 5 - 7 are 26" wide (rods) and between 39" and 44" long.
Banner #4 (back wall) is 36" wide (rod) and 84" long.
